While I have not knowingly created knowledge through the rigors of research, and my writing shows up in company publications and not in the annals of the refereed journals, I teach first from practice. With over three decades as a team member, and team leader and senior leader at The Boeing Company, my teaching combines the day-to-day practice of leadership behavior with the knowledge created by my academic colleagues. It's exciting to apply a theory to something we're doing at work or school and assess the results of different strategies and tactics. I use simulations and small group work as foundations of the learning experience, and both individual and team performance is examined. And it is always my hope our learning is fun.

Summary of Qualifications
Michael Dimeo has over thirty years' experience in Human Resources and Operations with an emphasis in leadership development and performance consulting. He has designed, developed, and conducted a variety of learning programs ranging from leadership skills to business writing. In addition, he is currently on the adjunct faculty of University of Washington, and consults (outside Boeing) with a variety of clients in the private and public sectors.
Leadership and Organization
Michael Dimeo has managed a variety of operations, human resource, and training organizations: Led the redesign of a nine-week manufacturing engineering class; managed a group of management and organization development consultants and trainers; helped build a leadership curriculum for first-line and senior managers at Boeing; led the design of a performance management process for Boeing’s commercial division; led a team of five supervisors and over a hundred employees in support of management development and engineering training; designed and led the recruiting process for Boeing’s Wichita division. In addition, I managed an operations group responsible for FAA Certifications.
