Helping people improve their academic skills has been an important part of my life for a number of years. I have worked as a writing consultant at UW Bothell for more than a year. Previously, I worked in the Learning Support Center at Edmonds Community College. I enjoy working with students of all ages. In June 2007, I graduated from UW Bothell's Education program with a certificate in Elementary Education K-8. Before taking on teaching as a career, I earned an MA in Cinema Studies. I love movies and always enjoy tutoring students who are writing about film.
As a tutor, I believe my job is to encourage and support students as they build on their existing writing ability.
