I enjoy writing biographies, promotional, persuasive and reflective works.

I am a first generation non-traditional student in the University of Washington Bothell IAS program majoring in Community Psychology.

I believe academic writing can be persuasive and argumentative, yet thought provoking and entertaining. Given that, my approach to writing marries intellectual pursuit with intention, and begins with the following questions:

*What is my intention?
*Who is my audience?
*If my inner editor had the day off, what would I say?

With these questions in mind I write a seriously rough draft. Once revised to the best of my ability, I read the work aloud and make any other corrections. This step, especially if done in the writing center is key to a successful paper. Ultimately, the prize for me lies in hearing that my thoughts on paper helped, influenced or entertained someone else.
