Bryce Monson, Writing Consultant

I struggled with writing through the first couple years of my college experience. I remember one day I had a roommate of mine proof read an essay for me. His first statement after reading my paper was; "you don't read much, do you?" At first I was taken aback, but now I know that it was the most important thing for me to hear. Since then, I have pushed myself to read as much as possible and through that I have become a much better writer.

I feel that working at the Writing Center will give me an opportunity to help others find their own "writer within" and also to find a love for reading and writing in general.  As a senior in the IAS program with a focus in Global Studies I have come to find that writing plays an integral role in success and fulfillment across all facets of life.
