The MBA Program Office uses a self-managed online application process. As described below, a complete application and all supporting materials must be submitted either online, mailed or transferred electronically on or before the application deadline before the University of Washington Bothell will consider a candidate for admission.
To request a brochure for the Technology and Leadership MBA Programs, e-mail uwbinfo@uwb.edu, or call (425) 352-3277 or 1-800-736-6650.
Application Materials
All applicants to either the Technology MBA-Bothell or Leadership MBA-Bellevue Program must submit the items listed below to be considered for admission. It is to your advantage to request the online letters of recommendation and have the official transcripts mailed to the UW Bothell MBA Program in advance. This allows plenty of time for them to arrive on or before the application deadlines.
Completed Application Form
All applicants must complete the online application for either the TMBA-Bothell or LMBA-Bellevue Program offered by the University of Washington Bothell. A $65.00 application fee applies.
To apply for the Technology MBA-Bothell Program, select "Business Administration - Technology MBA - Bothell Campus" in the online application.
To apply for the Leadership MBA-Bellevue Program, select "Business Administration - Leadership MBA - Bothell Campus, Bellevue site" in the online application.
If your first MBA Program of choice becomes full and you would like to be considered for the other MBA Program without having to re-apply, you may complete the "Option: Statement for Admissions Consideration in Either the TMBA or LMBA Program" in the application and noted below.
MBA Program Supplemental Information Form
All applicants must complete the Supplemental Information Form that includes: your current employer; position/title; full-time work experience (in months) from after you earned your bachelor’s degree to your entry into the UW Bothell Leadership or Technology MBA Program; and full-time work experience (in months) from after high school graduation until the completion of your first bachelor’s degree. For some who do not go directly from high school to college, the last part of the full-time work experience information may capture such work experience as 48 months in the military or 36 months in a start up business.
Transcripts
Provide two official transcripts from each post-secondary school you have attended. Applicants with a UW undergraduate and/or graduate degree do not need to provide official transcripts since we can access them.
Applicants with an international degree submit their official transcript and diploma to the MBA Program office - the official materials are returned after the evaluation is complete.
Official transcripts and international diplomas may be mailed or brought to:

You may want to inform the Recommender that the email with the recommendation link is on the way prior to sending it
as well as about your timelines for completion.
Application Essays
All applicants must submit two essays online in plain text, or upload Word or PDF in one paginated document. Essays are to address the following topics:

- Explain a difficult professional decision that you made and discuss, with the benefit of hindsight, whether you would decide differently in similar situations in the future
- Describe the problem the organization faced and the solution that was proposed to address it. What was your role in the design and implementation of the solution and what was the final outcome? What did you learn from the process?
- Write about an experience or an event where you or your team went beyond what was expected of you. Describe what you learned about yourself, your team members and your organization during the process of exceeding expectations.

Resume
Your resume, submitted online in plain text, or uploaded in Word or PDF, should include the following:

Official GMAT Scores
All applicants must complete the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). Review the GMAT Information section of the Prerequisites page for information about scheduling the test.
Official scores will be sent directly to UW Bothell when you select the UW Bothell MBA Full-time Evening Program. The official GMAT scores must come to the MBA Program at the UW Bothell for final admissions to occur.
Your unofficial GMAT scores, provided to you immediately after completing the test, may be included online with your application materials. However, the scores will not include your writing score which comes with your official results in about one week. (Note: If you take the exam near the application deadline, you must provide the unofficial verbal and quantitative scores online plus fax (425-352-5277; attn-UWB MBA Admissions) or scan and email (uwbmba@uwb.edu) as soon as possible to the MBA Program Office for you to have a complete application file and be considered for admissions.)
Scores are effective for five years. If you took the GMAT more than five years ago, you must retake the exam. If you have taken the GMAT more than once, we will consider only your highest score. The University of Washington will keep these scores on file for one year.
Option: Statement for Admissions Consideration in Either the TMBA or LMBA Program
If the MBA Program you apply to becomes full at 40, you may be considered simultaneously for admissions to the other MBA Program without re-applying. You may use this "Option" in the online application to state the reasons for your interest in the other MBA Program. If this option is considered by the MBA Admissions Committee, then we will call you to discuss the choice before a decision is made.
