The Summer Institute in the Arts and Humanities

  • A unique opportunity for selected undergraduates to earn full-time, academic credit through immersion in scholarly research.
  • Focused on a different topic each summer, the program brings together four faculty and twenty students in plenary, seminar and tutorial-style sessions from mid-June through mid-August.
  • Selected applicants will be named Mary Gates Scholars and receive a $4000 scholarship for the research.
  • Deadline: March 22, 2013 by 5pm

Abe Osheroff and Gunnel Clark Endowed Human Rights Fund for Students

  • Up to $1500 in funds to help support students with hands-on human rights projects. 
  • Preferred projects are those that have clear objectives with realistic planning that work on promoting social change through direct action.
  • Open to all undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Deadline: March 25, 2013

Leadership 1000 Scholarship                     

  • Awarded based on merit and financial need, Leadership 1000 Scholarships support WA residents in completing a four-year degree.
  • Applicants must be low- and middle-income Washington State residents enrolled full-time for the academic year with a minimum GPA of 2.75.
  • Scholarships vary from $2,500 for one year to $5,000 for four years.
  • Deadline: April 1, 2013

The UW Class of 1954 Achievement Scholarship

  • Several $1,500-$2,500 awards for outstanding UW students who, by their achievements and goals, enrich society and themselves.
  • Applicants must be juniors or seniors with a 3.3 minimum GPA and financial need, and propose a relevant extracurricular project.
  • Deadline: April 5, 2013

The Class of 1957 Scholar Award

  • Three $1,500 awards sponsored by the UW Alumni Class of 1957.
  • Applicants must be sophomores, juniors or non-graduating seniors as of autumn quarter with a 3.3 minimum GPA
  • Be able to demonstrate financial need as indicated by the Financial Aid Office, and academic merit through involvement in activities relevant to their academic, career and/or professional goals.
  • Deadline: April 5, 2013

Woodinville Garden Club Scholarship

  • Up to $2,000 is offered to students who are pursuing degrees in environmental studies or other related fields.
  • Funds may be used to pay for tuition and/or fees of Fall quarter of the upcoming year.
  • Deadline: April 5, 2013

Graduate Study in the UK

  • The Churchill, Gates Cambridge, Marshall, Mitchell and Rhodes scholarships are the most prestigious merit scholarships that provide funding for students interested in attending graduate school in the UK. 
  • Competitive applicants are US citizens with a 3.7 GPA and a record of leadership and participation in extra-curricular activities (academic, research, internships, service, study abroad), who have obtained a baccalaureate degree by the start of the grant.
  • International students may apply for the Gates Cambridge and the Rhodes Scholarships.
  • Some age restrictions may apply.

UW Bothell Study Abroad Scholarship

  • Funding - $500 to $2,000 - for travel expenses required to participate in a study abroad program.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled UW Bothell students, residents of Washington State, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and commit to promoting study abroad opportunities among UW Bothell students upon their return as a Study Abroad Ambassador.
  • Deadline: April 12, 2013

UWB General Scholarship

  • Multiple scholarships ranging from $750-$3,500 awarded to UW Bothell students across all disciplines.
  • Successful applicants are current students who demonstrate financial need, academic merit, leadership and commitment to the community.
  • Open to all undergraduates and graduate students, including part-time and full-time students.
  • Deadline: April 12, 2013

Ronald E. McNair Program

  • Assists underrepresented students in preparing for doctoral study through involvement in research and scholarly activities.
  • Applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents, low-income, first-generation, African American, Latino/Hispanic, Asian, Pacific Islander, or Native American, UW students with at least one year of undergraduate study remaining, with a strong interest in pursuing a PhD.
  • Application Deadline: April 15, 2013

Fritz Undergraduate Scholarship for Study Abroad

  • Funded by the Chester Fritz Endowment
  • For UW students only
  • Applicants must be majoring in the Humanities and Social Sciences and have a 3.0 GPA
  • Deadline: April 25, 2013

GO! Scholarship for Study Abroad

  • Funded by the WA Legislature to support students with financial need
  • Applicants must be WA residents eligible for Husky Promise or a Federal Pell Grant
  • Deadline: April 25, 2013

Association for Women in Computing Scholarship

  • Up to $1,000 is offered to open to all students in a computer-related program.
  • Applicants must be enrolled full-time with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Deadline: May 15, 2013
