Convocation is the formal ceremony welcoming new students to the University of Washington Bothell Community. This formal ceremony, held the day before the first day of classes each fall quarter, marks the beginning of a student's academic career. The event includes a formal procession of faculty in academic regalia and presentations by the university president and campus representatives. New Students and their families are encouraged to attend (Please limit guests to 2). Suggested dress is business casual.
This year following the Convocation there will be a Fun Fair on the Promenade featuring lunch and fun carnival activities! Programs will be hosting gatherings for new Transfer Students following lunch.
