Wellness programs are an opportunity to improve your physical, mental, and intellectual health outside the classroom. There is always a great variety of classes, and this page is updated frequently. All UWB students are welcome and no experience or special skills are required for UWB fitness classes, so whether you are a male, female, beginner, or professional, join us weekly for class! All classes are
FREE!
What is CrossFit?
CrossFit is a highly effective regimen of continuously-varied functional movements, executed at high intensity. It is the primary strength and conditioning program used by many professional athletes, firefighters, police, military, and a growing percent of the general public. CrossFit delivers a fitness that is by design, broad, general and inclusive.
How do I start?
In order to participate in the CrossFit program, you'll need to sign up for a FUNDAMENTALS class that will take you through technique and teach you to safely participate in the classes. After you've finished the 8-class, 1-month Fundamentals program, you'll be ready to participate in classes.
Passes for Fundamentals and classes may be purchased at the Cashier's office on the 2nd floor of UW1. Passes are for UWB students only, as the program is subsidized by student fees.
Please direct questions about CrossFit to Betsy Brown at bbrown@uwb.edu or 425-352-3551.
