About Us

Leah Mindemann, CEB Chair

Leah is a senior and business major here at UWB. She loves being able to meet amazing people with diverse backgrounds. Her favorite aspects about UWB are the intimate college classrooms and the vast amount of resources available to students to propel their success. Leah's hobbies include running, cooking and taking her schnoodle to the dog park.

Martin Yanagihara, Fine Arts Programmer

Martin Yanagihara is a junior intending to major in IAS in Society, Ethics and Human Behavior.  On campus Martin was involved with Orientation for two years before working with CEB, and also is the cofounder of the Pacific Islander Club. Martin was born in Japan and adopted when he was 3 months old. Growing up he was diagnosed with a Choledocal Cyst which is tumor of the Common Bile Duct. When he was 5 years old Children’s Hospital removed the tumor, saving his life, and the video of his operation is still shown to University of Washington medical students. Thanks to his operation, a door opened for him and allowed him to play sports. He grew up watching and playing basketball, baseball, football and tennis and they still play a huge part in his life today. Another huge part of his life is music, for it allows his mind to escape and be free. Martin listens to all kinds of music; Rap, Hip Hop, R&B, Hawaiian, Alternative and Doo Wop. His family and friends mean the world to him and he doesn’t know what path of life he would be on if it weren’t for them. For his future all he wants is to be successful and happy with his future wife and kids, with a vacation house back home in Hawaii. Don’t be shy and feel free to stop Martin and strike up a conversation whenever you see him!

Hannah Graziadio, Lectures and Awareness Programmer

Hannah is a freshman at UW Bothell. She is excited about working on the Campus Events Board and looks forward to the fun events and meeting lots of new people. In her spare time, she enjoys baking cupcakes.  She also enjoys geocaching and even purchased a gps just for that purpose. Reading is a passion, and she usually has a book or two with her at all times. Her new favorite book is Hunger Games, and her all-time favorite book series is Harry Potter. She has been one of the first in line to attend the first showings of the last four movies and to get the first copy of the most recent book, which she managed to read in a few short hours. Hannah has a younger brother, who is a sophomore in high school. She loves to travel to Florida, where most of mother’s family lives. While there, she dines on the inimitable Chick-fil-A sandwiches. If you see a bright yellow compact car, with an oversized, stuffed Husky dog in the back seat, wave hello to Hannah.

Nicole Wilson, Special Events Programmer

Nicole is an active participant in the campus atmosphere. Whether that is shown in her passion for learning in the classroom or in the various clubs that she’s involved in, she always puts her best effort forward. Balancing being the Special Events Programmer and an Orientation Leader and a full time student has proven to be a challenge but one that she has accepted willingly. When she does manage to find free time she enjoys watching horror or zombie movies with her friends or spending time at the beach. She is incredibly excited for the upcoming year and cannot wait to see what a difference she can make in the UW Bothell community!

Myrthe Boekhorst, Arts and Crafts Programmer

Myrthe is the Arts and Crafts programmer for the Campus Events Board. She is majoring in Community Psychology and Global Studies and this is her last year at UW Bothell. In her spare time she likes to paint, draw, cook and travel.

Brian Hoang, Entertainment Programmer

Currently, Brian is a sophomore and is trying to earn a degree in Electrical Engineering. Brian’s two main loves in life are sports and music. In high school, he played all four years and was able to varsity letter in his junior and senior years. If you look around the campus, Brian is usually involved in the sports available at UWB such as Flag Football and Ultimate Frisbee. In addition, Brian has played the violin since he was in 5th grade and loves playing it still. On top of classical music, Brian is an avid listener of many genres, in particular Hip-Hop. If you ever see him around the campus, he is more than happy to get to know you or just say hi.
