The Center for Serious Play offers a unique learning-lab environment where students are able to develop their own educational games, interactive tools, and original products with real-world applications. This approach to interactive media will additionally focus on development in fields such as education, sustainability, and health care, while building a relationship between students, faculty, industry partners and educational communities.
Currently, Jordan Weisman is the interim director of the CSP. As co-founder of FASA Corporation, Virtual Worlds and numerous other companies, he has been in the game-design business since 1980.
The Center's creative director is Wanda Gregory, Lecturer in the Science and Technology Program. Wanda has taught courses in game design, virtual worlds, and games for girls at UW Seattle and UW Bothell since 2005.
The Center is housed on the first floor of the UWB Beardslee Building.
