The Professional Certificate (Pro Cert) Program enables teachers holding the first-level Residency Teacher certificate to advance to the second-level Professional Teacher Certificate. Teachers usually enroll in a Pro Cert Program after the first two years of teaching and may pursue this certificate while enrolled in the UW Bothell M.Ed. Program or in the stand-alone Pro Cert Program.
The UW Bothell Professional Certificate Program seeks qualified individuals who are committed to:
- Making a difference in the lives of students through teaching and advocacy.
- Improving schools that serve all children well.
- Advancing in their own professional growth and development.
- Engaging in collaborative growth with other candidates.
Drawing upon a knowledgeable faculty who are invested in the on-going professional development of teachers, participants will benefit from deeply engaging coursework, state-of-the-art facilities, and a convenient location that helps them meet the demanding needs of their personal and professional growth.
UW Bothell offers two options for completing the Professional Certification Program: as a "stand-alone" program only, or combined with the Master of Education program.
