BNURS 409 Requirements and Logistics

Your Fieldwork Course Description

BNURS 409  Partnerships in Community Health (5)
Examine theories, concepts, and practices related to community health care, health promotion, disease prevention, public health, and social justice.  Explore socio-cultural, epidemiological, economic, and political issues influencing local, national, and global health and health care delivery.

Checking Your Compliance Status

While you will be able to register for B NURS 409 during the normal time you would register for classes.  However, you must still be fully compliant in order to remain registered for B NURS 409.  All students not fully compliant will be disenrolled from the course prior to the start of the quarter and will then need to reregister for the course once all compliance items are complete.

All required compliance items for students starting the BSN program Autumn 2011 or later are listed in the Pre-Orientation Requirements section.  Students who started the nursing  program in an earlier quarter and maintained consecutive enrollment may all use this form's requirements instead; please talk to your advisor about where to submit your documents and updates, however, because at some point the Nursing Receptionist will no longer be the one collecting these records.

Registration Logistics

Close to the quarter that 409 will be offered for your cohort, the 409 course coordinator will come in and speak to your class during a Brown Bag session regarding the specific fieldwork opportunities you will have at different sites.
