Academic Interests:
I am interested in teaching and learning about discrimination and disparity in health care both locally and globally, sexual orientation, alternative healing strategies, gender issues, cultural competency in nursing, community health issues related to poverty, violence and global health care, adolescent issues, parenting, and global health.
Research Interests:
My research interests include: using narrative stories as a healing modality, narrative analysis, ethnographic research methods, feminist methodology, critical medical anthropology, and social justice.
