Major Concentration Areas
There will be 4 concentration areas available in the major.
- Ethics, Education, Policy and Management
- Health and Life Sciences
- Social and Historical Studies
- Health Issues and Interventions at Local and Global Levels
Health Studies students will have the option of concentrating in one particular area or developing a breadth of knowledge across 2-4 areas.
Health Studies Graduation Requirements
| 5 credits |
1 course in Statistics (any introductory statistics course is acceptable) |

1 course in Research Methods (examples: BIS 312, BIS 340, or other courses T. B. A) |

3 required course to introduce students to foundational concepts in health studies:
- Introduction to Public Health (5 credits)
- Community Dynamics, Disparities, and Health (5 credits)
- Introduction to Epidemiology (5 credits)
