Coursework for MN students is designed with block scheduling of classes on Fridays only, over 7 quarters or 11 quarters of part time study.

MN students are required to complete 6 or more credits of elective study which may be relevant to specific fieldwork and scholarly project objectives, but course work in nursing is not required. It is equally acceptable for a student to select an elective course in a completely new area based on interest. Students often complete 3-6 of their electives during the summer session. They have access to course work at the 400 level or above in Nursing, other UW-Bothell programs or another UW campus.
The first 6 credits are required to be 400 level and above University of Washington courses. Any remaining electives must be 500-level or above and must fit into your approved degree plan.
