Once enrolled in the University of Washington Bothell Master of Education Program, students should take full advantage of all the resources available to them on campus to maximize their personal and academic experiences. They will find that the Education Program staff and faculty are committed to addressing and serving their needs by welcoming any of their comments, concerns, and questions.
Education Program Office
Many nonteaching functions of the program are carried out by the Education Program Office. The office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays. (Summer hours may vary.) The office maintains files with University and program petitions, Human Subjects Review forms, and other University documentation and information.
For information regarding the Education Program or Graduate School policies and procedures, program participants may contact Dana Bigham, (425-352-3481 or dbigham@uwb.edu).
For information or questions about the Secondary Teacher Certification Pathway participants may contact Nick Brownlee, Graduate Advisor (425-352-3481 or nbrownlee@uwb.edu).
Advising
All program participants are required to contact their designated faculty advisor for a consultation at specific points during their program. However, program participants may seek additional academic advising at any time.
Communication
The Education Program faculty and staff communicate with students in several ways: class announcements, e-mail messages, letters, or telephone calls.
To insure timely communication, students should keep their e-mail address, personal address, telephone number, and other contact information current. They should update this personal information via MyUW and contact the Education Program Office.

Mailboxes
Faculty and Staff Mailboxes
All Education Program adjunct and permanent faculty and staff have mailboxes in the Education Program office. Documents or packages may be left for faculty and staff in their program office mailboxes.
Graduate Student Mailboxes
During their first quarter of enrollment, a student mailbox will be created for all new Graduate students in the Education Program. These mailboxes are located in the Education Program office in the form of hanging file folders in a vertical file cabinet. Faculty may use these mailboxes to return graded coursework or other course related information.
