2012 UW Bothell MBA Global Study Tour to Thailand and Cambodia

A group of 17 UW Bothell MBA students participated in a Global Study Tour to Thailand and Cambodia from March 10-23, 2012. The tour was lead by a James Reinnoldt, a UWB MBA faculty member with substantial business experience in Southeast Asia. The students attended classes before and after the two-week study tour and earned four graduate credits. While in Thailand and Cambodia, students worked with NGOs and businesses that will commission projects. 2011 UW Bothell MBA Global Study Tour to Ghana

Exposure to and knowledge of business prospects and opportunities around the world is an integral part of the UWB MBA curriculum. As part of the MBA experience, twenty eight UW Bothell MBA students participated in a Global Study Tour to Ghana in the 2011 Winter/Spring Intersession. This tour was co-lead by a faculty member and two MBA students who were closely involved with conceptualizing and organizing the Tour. The students attended classes before and after the two-week study tour and earned four graduate credits. In Ghana, the students worked with specific firms that had commissioned business studies or projects beforehand and made presentations.

Global Business Center Study Tours

UW Bothell MBA students may also participate in Global Business Study Tours sponsored by the Global Business Center, which is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. Each spring, two to three Global Business Study Tours depart for exciting global destinations. Over the past six years, over 180 students from the UW Seattle and UW Bothell have participated in these business and cultural field trips, which include personal meetings with executives, company visits and factory tours, cultural excursions, networking opportunities and more.
