Course reserves is a service provided by the UWB/CCC Campus Library to support UW
Bothell and Cascadia Community College courses and is designed to provide a high level of access to
material that is in demand by a large number of students. Reserve materials may
include books owned by the UW Libraries and course readings. Reserve books
are shelved in an open reserve area and assigned short loan periods to optimize
student access; high demand materials are shelved behind the Information
Commons Desk. Overdue fines are set at a high level to motivate borrowers to
return material on time for use by other borrowers. All reserve materials are
due at a specific hour. Overdue fines
are $2.50 for the first hour, then $.50 for each additional hour up to a $30
maximum fine. After the $30 maximum charge, a replacement cost is added. A UW Libraries or Cascadia Community College borrower's card is required for checkout.
Course readings (e.g. book chapters, journal articles, lecture notes) are made
available through electronic reserves (ERes).
Temporary UW NetIDs issued by the Open Learning Center at Cascadia will not allow access to electronic reserves. If you did not use the online form to get your UW NetID, you do not have access to electronic reserves.
If you do not have a permanent UW NetID, please find instructions at:
