Tegrity Viewer Layout & Basic Controls

Layout in Tegrity Viewer

1. Instructor Area - this is where the instructor video or photo will appear, as well as captions (if they are added to the recording).
2. Bookmarks and Notes Area - this is where bookmarks or notes that the student or instructor has made during the recording will appear.
3. Instructional Content Area - this area will display your main class content, such as PowerPoint Slides, video, and screen captures.
4. Timeline and Controls - this area holds all the controls for the recording (play, pause, fast forward, rewind, etc.) as well as the timeline for the recording.

Controls in Tegrity Viewer

The most basic controls in the Tegrity Viewer are at the very bottom, in the middle of the page:

From left to right:

• Volume control
• Rewind to previous chapter
• Play/Pause
• Fast forward to next chapter
• Playback speed

The more advanced control buttons can be found in the bottom right corner of the page:

From left to right:

• Contact your instructor with a question
• Show recording's chapters
• Show recording images on a printer-friendly page
• Download the recording
• Tegrity help
• Tegrity connect (chat with other students watching the recording online)
