Technology Tools

Bookmarks and Annotations

Social bookmarking websites allow users to post bookmarks and links to online resources such as websites, blogs, articles, podcasts and videos. These bookmarks are typically shared with others and can be organized, searched and rated. Social bookmarking can be quite useful for research collaborations or group projects by helping group members to collect and share links and resources.

Websites that specialize in annotation services let users upload documents or websites and insert comments on the website or document itself. These comments can be shared with others if they choose to do so.

Support

UW Bothell does not provide technical support for this tool. Instead, users may be able to obtain support through the third-party that provides the tool or public information on the internet. UWB LT provides pedagogical support for the use of this tool in classes.
