Create a Discussion Forum

To create a discussion, go in the Discussions page and click on the Start a discussion button at the top right corner of the page.

Enter a title and description for the discussion topic.

1. This will create a threaded discussion which is useful for carrying out conversations between users, debating ideas or issues, and other uses which require more than one post.

   

2. This delays the discussion until a certain date. The discussion appears automaically after the set date.
3. This option prevents a student from seeing any replies made by other students until they have submitted thier own response.
4. This option enables a podcast feed if it has been embedded in the discussion topic.
5. This option will create a gradebook entry for the discussion topic.

Once you are finished setting up the discussion, click on the Save button to create the discussion forum.
