The SpeedGrader App for iPad lets instructors easily view student submissions to assignements and quizzes as well as assign grades and give feedback. You can download the SpeedGrader app from the App Store for free on your iPad or iTunes. Once you have the SpeedGrader app installed, scroll down to view a quick tutorial on using the app.
Getting Started
When you first open the SpeedGrader app, it will prompt you to enter in some information so that the app can connect to Canvas at UW. For the URL, type in canvas.uw.edu and press Connect.

The next page will ask you to sign in with your UW NetID as well as confirm that you owish to login to Canvas using this account.

Once you have signed in, all of the courses that you are currently teaching will appear. A red ribbon will appear over courses with new submissions. Simply tap on the course you wish to view submissions for. This will bring up a list of assignments, discussions, and quizzes for that course.

You can see how many new submissions need to be graded underneath the assignment title with a x need grading where x is the number of submissions to be graded. An example is highlighted in the screenshot below.

Tapping on the assignment will allow you to view student submissions directily on the iPad. From here, you can make comments on the submission as well as assign a grade to the student.
Note that the viewer only works on certain file formats such as doc, docx, and pdf.
