Chat

Basics

  • The left frame displays the users who have joined the chat session.
  • The right frame displays the users' conversation.
  • chatting - This icon indicates that a user is a chat moderator.
  • chatting - This icon indicates that a user is active. Active users can chat and private message by default.
  • chatting - This icon indicates that a user is passive. Passive users cannot chat or private message by default.
  • chatting - This icon indicates that a user is requesting to become active and join the conversation.

Buttons

  • chatting - Change how private messages are displayed.
  • chatting - Set access rights for users and terminate the chat session for all users (group only).
  • chatting - Clear your local display. Clear the display for all users (group only).
  • chatting - End session and expel all chat participants (group only). Clicking this button will also erase all chat history in the display window. Recordings will still be available.
  • chatting - Begin recording the chat session (group only).
  • chatting - Pause recording (group only).
  • chatting - Stop recording (group only).
  • chatting - Insert a bookmark into the recording (group only).
  • chatting - Displays user information.
  • chatting - Send a private message to the selected user.
  • chatting - Toggle selected user between active and passive mode (group only).
  • chatting - If you ever get deactivated by a moderator, you can press this button to raise your hand and request to become active again. By default, only active users can engage in discussion and private messaging. This button replaces the active/passive toggle (shown above) in class chat.
  • chatting - Send message to all participating users.
