The class collaboration tools allow students and their instructors to communicate in real-time over the internet. The collaboration tool can be used for the entire class or for small groups. Virtual chatting can be very useful for off-campus group meetings or when it's difficult to meet face-to-face.

Accessing the Collaboration Tools
To get to the collaboration tools, click on the Tools link from the course menu on the left. Scroll down and click on the Collaboration link.
You will be presented with a list of sessions. Your instructor may have created seperate sessions for specific topics or times. Click on one to access the chatroom or vitual classroom.
