This section of the Blackboard Grade Center tutorial will go over how to return graded papers to students that had been submitted via a Blackboard Assignment.
- From the Blackboard control panel, click on Grade Center. The Grade Center menu will expand, and from this menu, click Full Grade Center.
- Find the column for the assignment you will be retrieving the paper from. You may need to use the scroll feature at the bottom of the Grade Center menu.
- Click the chevron icon (button with two downward-facing arrows) next to the assignment's heading at the top of the column. From the drop-down menu that appears, click Grade Attempts.

- From the page you are redirected to, you will be able to give student feedback by:
- Going to step 3. Grade Current Attempt.
- Giving them the appropriate grade in the Grade field.
- Writing any comments in the text box.
- Clicking Browse Computer and attaching their paper with your comments.
- "Grading Notes" are just for you--students cannot see them. So, you can probably ignore this step.
- When you have finished filling out the appropriate fields, click Submit to send the responses to the student.
