Graded assignments can either be excluded from grade calculations or entirely deleted from Blackboard. Consider excluding them from calculations if you wish to retain the records, or entirely deleting them from Blackboard if you wish to clean up your course page.

To Exclude from Calculations
- From the Blackboard Grade Center, click on the double down arrow button (
) for a graded item and select Edit Column Information.
- Scroll down to Options and change Include this column in Grade Center calculations to No.
- Click Submit to save changes.

To Remove from Blackboard
- From the Grade Center, click on the double down arrow button (
) for a grading item and select Delete Column.
- Removing an assignment in the gradebook will delete the assignment from Blackboard completely. This is not reversible.
- For some grading items, such as essays, the option to remove them from the Grade Center will not become available until they are deleted from the content areas.
