Using Blackboard
Haven't Used Blackboard Before?
Faculty and instructors who have never used the Blackboard system at UWB should follow the instructions to create a user account.

Reusing Course Material?
If you would like to reuse course material, request a new Blackboard course and use the Control Panel > Packages and Utilities > Course Copy menu in your old course to copy material to the new course. It's highly recommended that you don't simply reuse the old course since it will have the incorrect quarter listed as part of its course number. It's also recommended that you make the old course unavailable for student enrollment via the Control Panel > Customization > Properties menu.

Transitioning from Blackboard to Canvas
Please note that Blackboard is being phased out at the University of Washington Bothell as part of the institution's transition to Canvas. By December 31st, 2013, the Blackboard servers will be shut down and content currently on Blackboard will be permanently unavailable. If you would like to import your Blackboard course into Canvas to preserve it, please see our page on migrating Blackboard content into Canvas.
