This method is easier to learn and remember than the one using the keyboard. However, if it does not work because right-clicking is disabled, you may always try to copy and paste with the keyboard. Follow these steps to copy and paste text from Microsoft Word to Blackboard:
- Select the text to transfer from another application, such as Microsoft Word or any other text editor, to Blackboard.
- Right-click on the text to bring up the additional menu.
Note: Mac users will have to control-click instead.
- Pick Copy.

- Now that you have copied the text, go to Blackboard and right-click on a text box.

- From the menu, pick Paste.

- The text should be copied over.

This method is faster than using the mouse. It also works when right-clicking does not bring an additional menu or the additional menu is missing the copy option. Follow these steps to copy and paste text from Microsoft Word to Blackboard:
- Select the text to transfer from another application, such as Microsoft Word or any other text editor, to Blackboard.
- Press Ctrl+C to copy.

- Now that you have copied the text, go to Blackboard and click on a text box.
- Press Ctrl+V to paste.
