Haven't Used Blackboard Before?

Faculty members who have never used the Blackboard system at UWB should follow the instructions to create a user account. The new faculty blackboard handout may be useful as well. You can request a new course via the Blackboard Course Request Form. Contact Andreas Brockhaus if you'd like an overview of Blackboard or would like assistance with creating effective online course materials and assignments.

Creating or Reusing a Course

Faculty members can request a new Blackboard course at Blackboard Course Request Form.

If you want to reuse course content, request a new course. You can then use the Course Copy menu in the Control Panel of the old course to copy material to your new course. Since course names include the quarter and year it is taught, it's recommended that you don't simply reuse a course. It's also recommended that you make old courses unavailable via the Settings menu in the Control Panel to avoid students self-enrolling in old courses.
