What is the Graduation Application?
The Graduation Application outlines a student’s remaining credits and requirements for completion of their degree. It is completed in an advising appointment with an IAS Adviser.
It is the student’s responsibility to apply for their degree because degrees are not automatically awarded when requirements have been satisfied. Students who have not applied to graduate will not graduate.
After filing the Graduation Application, it is the responsibility of the student to make sure that all requirements are met. That said, IAS Advisers are available to provide guidance and advice.
Note: All transcripts must be submitted and evaluated BEFORE the IAS Adviser can draft the graduation application.
Is it time for me to sign the Graduation Application?
IAS students should file the mandatory Graduation Application 3 quarters before their anticipated quarter of graduation.
Please see the table below for an idea of when you should sign the Graduation Application:
| Autumn quarter grads |
Apply the winter quarter prior |

Apply the spring quarter prior |

During peak registration times the office becomes very busy and students may need to wait to get an appointment. If you need to meet with an IAS Adviser to sign the Graduation Application, don't wait until the last minute. Plan ahead!
