School of Business

Leadership MBA (LMBA)

The UW Bothell Leadership MBA is a one-of-a-kind dynamic program that attracts a diverse student population eager to develop as leaders. The students are passionate about their goals and like to challenge one another to achieve ever greater heights. The Leadership MBA is offered at the Eastside Learning Center in Bellevue. Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  

Technology MBA (TMBA)

The UW Bothell Technology MBA is a rigorous program attracting students who are passionate about technology. Many of these students are engineers and scientists. Others are non-technical, but have a great enthusiasm for managing technology-driven corporations. Classes are held on the UW Bothell campus.


School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences

Master of Arts in Cultural Studies

The Master of Arts in Cultural Studies is designed for a small cohort of students who seek to transform their communities through applied forms of cultural work that engage diverse populations. Through the development of a learning and professional portfolio, cultural studies graduates integrate work completed in core courses, elective courses, and a capstone project.  

Master of Arts in Policy Studies

The Master of Arts in Policy Studies is designed for a small cohort of students who seek to become agents of change through policy analysis, research, and implementation. The policy studies curriculum enables students to develop foundational skills in policy analysis and to apply those skills in policy arenas ranging from health care and the environment to labor and human rights.  

Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Poetics

A new program with its debut in fall 2012, the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Poetics (MFA) is designed to help students develop their creative work through a course of study that encourages exploration and discovery. The MFA degree prepares students for various teaching positions as well as careers in fields that required advanced critical, creative, and writing abilities 


Computing & Software Systems (CSS)

Master of Science in Computer Science & Software Engineering

The Master of Science in Computer Science and Software Engineering couples theoretical computing concepts with real-world problems, helping students develop the breadth of skills necessary to succeed in today’s competitive software profession. The degree is designed to accommodate the needs of working professionals. Enrollment is either part-time or full-time, with courses meeting in the evening two or three times a week.  


Education

Master of Education Leadership Development for Educators (LEDE)

The LEDE program is a new principal preparation program offered by UW Bothell in partnership with several school districts, the Center for Strengthening the Teaching Profession, and the Center for Educational Leadership. The program supports teacher instructional leaders and helps them document their learning so that it contributes to requirements for a masters degree and state residency principal certification. 

Master of Education (M.Ed.)

The Master of Education program is designed to provide the academic foundations and depth students need to advance in their career within the education community, take on leadership roles within the profession, and make significant contributions to the future of children, youth, and families. 

Master of Education (Secondary/Middle Level Endorsement)

The UW Bothell Secondary and Middle Level Teacher Certification Master of Education Program integrates courses and structured field experiences. Students will  be challenged to apply and extend the lessons learned in class to work with youth in several school settings. Endorsements are available in Biology, English/Language Arts, Mathematics, History, Social Studies and General Science (pending). 


Nursing

Master of Nursing

The Master of Nursing program is for nurses with a BSN who desire to continue their education. The core curriculum includes nursing research, analysis of health systems, health policy, health disparities, ethics and aesthetics. Students pursue scholarly inquiry by completing a project. The curriculum has a strong emphasis on mentoring with faculty and in fieldwork placements. Nurses with an RN and a Bachelor's degree in another discipline are also eligible to apply.
