Forum Committee

This year’s Inno­va­tion Forum Com­mit­tee Mem­bers are a dynamic group from a diverse array of depart­ments and dis­ci­plines across the UWB campus.

At UW Both­ell, Dinah Aldrich serves as exec­u­tive assis­tant to the Vice Chan­cel­lor for Aca­d­e­mic Affairs. Off cam­pus, she is the founder and direc­tor of pro­gram devel­op­ment for Moth­ers Alliance on Men­tal Illness.

Melissa Arias is Asst. Vice Chan­cel­lor for Advance­ment and respon­si­ble for advanc­ing the UW Bothell’s indi­vid­ual, cor­po­rate and foun­da­tion sup­port across all aca­d­e­mic pro­grams. Prior to com­ing to UW Both­ell she was the Direc­tor of a regional human ser­vice non-profit that worked with women and chil­dren sur­vivors of domes­tic vio­lence. Arias holds a J.D. from Seat­tle Uni­ver­sity and under­grad­u­ate degrees from the Uni­ver­sity of Wash­ing­ton in eco­nom­ics and polit­i­cal science.

Aina Brax­ton grad­u­ated this sum­mer with her B.A. in Law, Eco­nom­ics, and Pub­lic Pol­icy and cur­rently works as a Pro­gram Assis­tant for the 2013 Inno­va­tion Forum.

Peggy Brown has been the Facil­i­ties Use and Events Man­ager at UW Both­ell since Sep­tem­ber 2012. She was also on the Plan­ning com­mit­tee for the first Forum, held in March 2012.

Ann Cox is the Strate­gic Ini­tia­tives Direc­tor at UW Both­ell, where she works with the cam­pus com­mu­nity to move for­ward with the pri­or­i­ties of 21st Cen­tury Cam­pus Ini­tia­tive strate­gic plan. Ann served on the plan­ning com­mit­tee for UWBothell’s inau­gural Inno­va­tion Forum last year and was delighted at the oppor­tu­nity to par­tic­i­pate this year as well. She is look­ing for­ward to a week of excit­ing activ­i­ties involv­ing fac­ulty, staff, stu­dents and the com­mu­nity at the 2013 Inno­va­tion Forum on Engag­ing Design!

Dr. Bill Erdly is Direc­tor of the Inter­ac­tive Media Design degree and founder of the Com­put­ing & Soft­ware Sys­tems pro­gram at UWB. His aca­d­e­mic and indus­try work spans a vari­ety of areas includ­ing knowl­edge man­age­ment sys­tems, interactive/social game design & ana­lyt­ics, human-computer inter­ac­tion, health care infor­mat­ics, col­lab­o­ra­tive com­put­ing, social/organizational processes and tech­nol­ogy work with tribal communities.

Randi Evans is one of the Pro­gram Assis­tants for the Forum. Addi­tion­ally, she serves as a lec­turer in CUSP and works in the com­mu­nity as a teach­ing artist and arts administrator.

Gray Kochhar-Lindgren is Asso­ciate Vice Chan­cel­lor for Under­grad­u­ate Learn­ing and Pro­fes­sor of Inter­dis­ci­pli­nary Arts & Sci­ences. Cur­rently, he is work­ing on build­ing admin­is­tra­tive infra­struc­ture for a vari­ety of high-impact stu­dent learn­ing expe­ri­ences and writ­ing on Kant in Hong Kong and Phi­los­o­phy in the Streets.

Kanta Kochhar-Lindgren is the Direc­tor of the 2013 Inno­va­tion Forum: Engag­ing Design. An Asso­ciate Pro­fes­sor of Per­for­mance Stud­ies at UWB, she is also the Direc­tor of Folded Paper Dance, and is cur­rently devel­op­ing pro­duc­tions of the Water­works Cycle in Hong Kong and Delhi. She is also a core mem­ber of the steer­ing com­mit­tee for an inter­na­tional con­fer­ence on Research Cre­ativ­ity atHKBU and accom­pa­ny­ing cross-disciplinary research lab and exhibit on Hap­tic Interfaces.

Andrea Ramirez is cur­rently the Assis­tant Direc­tor of Stu­dent Activ­i­ties within the Office of Stu­dent Life at UWB Both­ell. She over­sees a num­ber of areas includ­ing: Cam­pus Events, Diver­sity Pro­grams, Lead­er­ship Devel­op­ment & Pro­grams, Alter­na­tive Spring Break, Vol­un­teer Oppor­tu­ni­ties, Reflec­tion Room, Stu­dent Space, Clubs and Orga­ni­za­tions, and Stu­dent Government.

Jodi St. George is cur­rently a Senior study­ing Busi­ness Admin­is­tra­tion, con­cen­trat­ing in the fields of Mar­ket­ing & Man­age­ment. Jodi is the Direc­tor of Pub­lic Rela­tions for ASUWB, the Stu­dent Gov­ern­ment at UW Both­ell. She has been involved in Stu­dent Life for two years in many dif­fer­ent areas and is pas­sion­ate about rep­re­sent­ing the stu­dent voice at UW Bothell.
