What is the Presidential Management Fellows Program?
Administered by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, this highly selective, rigorous leadership program recruits outstanding graduate students for a two-year developmental fellowship at various Federal agencies. More than 80 Federal agencies throughout the U.S. partner with the PMF Program Office to hire Fellows annually.
The purpose of the Program is to attract to the Federal service outstanding men and women from a variety of academic disciplines and career paths who have a clear interest in, and commitment to, excellence in the leadership and management of public policies and programs.

Who Qualifies?
Students who will meet all graduate degree requirements between September 1, 2009 through August 31, 2010, are eligible to apply in the Fall of 2009 for the PMF Class of 2010. The application window is October 1-15, 2009.
How do I apply?
1. Attend the Info Session on October 1at UW Seattle, 4:30-6:00pm in Thomson, Rm. 125.
2. Create an account at http://www.usajobs.gov/ so you can link your online resume to the application.
3. Apply Online at https://www.pmf.opm.gov/HApplication.aspx between October 1 - 15.
- Select your previously created resume
- Through "Application Manager" create a profile, upload your veterans (the status of students claiming veteran's preference will be verified with UW Bothell's Office of Special Services) and preference documents (if applicable) submit the application including the USAJOBS resume, and view the status of your personalized PMF Nomination Form (which you will submit to the UWB Nomination Committee for review)
- Print PMF Nomination Form to submit to Nomination Committee.
4. Submit UWB Nomination Materials to Nomination Committee (Kim Wilson's office UW1 171) by 12:00p.m. on October 16th. The UWB Nomination Materials must include:
- Cover letter
- Resume
- PMF Nomination Form (Under "Nomination Official", list "Susan Jeffords" and sjeffords@uwb.edu. Please DO NOT forward this form nor any additional materials to Susan Jeffords. All materials should be directed to Kim Wilson, Office UW1 171.)
5. The Nomination Committee will review the application materials and contact you by October 31st regarding your status
