Civic Fellows - Teaching and Learning Center

The Teaching and Learning Center’s Office of Community-Based Learning and Scholarship is seeking six Student Civic Fellows to conduct research, plan events, and educate around Service- and Community-Based Learning. The students will receive a stipend of $500-$700 for their service/work. Example projects that students might work on are: coordinate MLK/Cesar Chavez Day on campus, poverty and community researcher, assist with in-class presentations on Community-Based Learning…etc.

Tutor, Quantitative Skills Center

The Quantitative Skills Center (QSC) is currently hiring tutors who enjoy math and are enthusiastic about helping others. The QSC assists students in pre-calculus, calculus, business math, statistics, science, computer science, and any project involving quantitative reasoning across the disciplines. QSC tutors have said that their work with students was satisfying and that it helped them grow and sharpen their own math and communication skills.

IT Student Technician

UW Bothell Information Technologies is seeking students to perform basic technical tasks to support computing hardware, software, presentation, and multimedia technology. Student Technicians may work in a variety of areas within IT, depending on skills, experience, interest, and availability. Areas include the student drop-in computing lab, providing customer service and technical support for the helpdesk, equipment delivery, and setup for classroom and event requests, supporting student multimedia projects, and assisting with photography and video production.
If you have excellent attention to detail, and are committed to learning new skills by asking questions, seeking feedback and pursuing new challenges, this could be the job for you. Although no specific technology expertise is required, the successful candidate will be comfortable exploring new technology.
