Student Office Assistant – Community-Based Learning and Research

UW Bothell’s Community-Based Learning and Research mission is the advancement of mutually beneficial relationships between the university and the external campus community for the purposes of education and growth among all involved parties  We coordinate collaborative events, academic projects, research, and co-curricular activities that support civic engagement, participatory research, and meaningful community partnerships.

Assistant Editor – Center for Serious Play

Applicant should be an avid writer with confidence in their ability to critique the work of others, prepared to edit articles of diverse genres, as well as potentially do assigned research for said articles. The applicant will frequently be working with others, and must have appropriate people skills and enjoy teamwork. Other duties include - put up fliers on campus; Update social media for the Center (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.); Speak to classrooms about publishing opportunities; Edit articles for spelling mistakes, grammar and content; Schedule meetings for Editor-in-Chief; Update website with campus, local, and online event write-ups.

Disability Resources Examination Proctor – UW Bothell Disability Resources for Students

Proctor will monitors students during test sessions to ensure a secure testing environment, assists in the distribution and collection of test material to the student(s), ensures the tests are ready for pick-up by the instructors, assists in clarifying professor's test instructions for students, regulates allowance(s) for exams, and ensures that the student starts and finishes the exam at the original time set by the professor. Verifies student’s identification and seats them appropriately, reports suspected irregularities, cheating, and breach of student conduct to the professor and DRS staff. Pay Rate:$10.00.This is a great opportunity to gain a wide range of skills.

Internships of Interest

Two Interns – Social Justice Film Festival

The Social Justice Film Festival highlights film and video work being done to institute change around the world. Social justice themes include such issues as incarceration, the environment and sustainability, oppression, race and racism. Seattle's Second Social Justice Film Festival is looking for two part-time interns to help with logistics for the event happening the second weekend in October. Internship responsibilities include screening submissions, lining up venues, organizing programming, managing ticket sales, conducting outreach, and publicizing the festival. Festival experience or progressive activist background preferred. Positions are unpaid and hours are flexible.

Software Development Intern – Vertafore

Oxfam CHANGE Leaders

Oxfam America is accepting applications for its 14th annual CHANGE Initiative, a national student organizing and advocacy program for rising sophomores and juniors to become effective agents for social change. CHANGE Leaders have access to expert skills based training, resources, materials and year-round support from Oxfam staff; establish connections and share knowledge with college students from the US and beyond; develop confidence and lifelong skills to create positive, lasting social change; and are part of an active and growing, global network of peers and alumni working on justice issues.
Application instructions: Applicants must agree to join or form an Oxfam Club and implement an Oxfam campaign on campus during the 2013-14 academic year, as well as communicate regularly with Oxfam staff about their work. Recycle Corps Intern -  Pacific Northwest

Waste Management's Recycle Corps collegiate intern program is designed for mature, responsible and outgoing college students interested in participating in Waste Management's public education and outreach programs. Recycle Corps interns receive intensive training from industry experts and well-rounded exposure to many facets of the recycling and composting industry, and receive hands-on experience in the field and real-world experience as recycling educators.

Nature Vision Summer Internship – Nature Vision

Nature Vision is a non-profit environmental education organization founded in 2003 based in Woodinville, WA. Our mission is to foster citizen appreciation and stewardship of our environment through integration of school, community, and nature education. Intern will aid naturalists with presenting environmental education programs to: summer camps, schools, libraries, and other groups from the Nature Vision menu of programs, prep and clean-up of materials for camps and presentations and assist with office projects as needed by staff Training is provided. Most of programs will be in Redmond area.

Test Technician/Assembler(Bothell) – System to Asic

Looking for a Test Technician to perform manual, semi-automatic and automatic testing of integrated circuits (ICs) in accordance with established standards, produce daily logs and reports, operate IC handlers and wafer probers and assemble mechanical and electronic modules. Minimum Requirements: Mechanical aptitude, fine motor skills, dexterous, highly motivated, dependable with consistent attention to detail, Ability to work independently and under supervision of Test Engineer, excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in use of Windows based PCs including MS Excel and MS Word, and familiarity with Electroglas, Atrium, Multitest equipment and Labview software is plus. HS Diploma and 2 years of experience.
