Ben Galvin Biography

Dr. Galvin is an assistant professor of Business at the UWB School of Business. He received degrees from Arizona State University (PhD, Organizational Behavior, 2010) and Brigham Young University (MBA, Organizational Behavior, 2003; BA, American Studies, Business Minor, 2000).

He is interested in leadership topics that make contributions to the understanding of how leader behavior, social processes, personality, and identity influence follower perceptions and leadership outcomes. His research has been published in journals such as Academy of Management Review, Personnel Psychology, Leadership Quarterly, Organizational Dynamics, and Human Resource Management Review, as well as book chapters in Academy of Management Annals, and Human Resource Management.

Before joining academia, Dr. Galvin spent several years working at the corporate level for national retailers in buying and product development capacities.
