You must register in advance for the Writing Skills Assessment.

Steps for Registration

  1. Fill out and submit the form below. This will reserve your space.
  2. Pay for the exam by sending in a check or paying at the Cashier's window on campus. The Cashier's office will take cash, check or money order for payment. Debit and credit cards are NOT acceptable.

Application Periods

THE WSA CAN ONLY BE TAKEN ONCE PER APPLICATION PERIOD.

Autumn application period: January through May
Winter application period: August through October
Spring application period: January through February 6th

On the registration page below, you MUST select the quarter you are applying for.

Disability Accommodations

If you require disability accommodations, please contact Disability Support Services at 425.352.5307 or e-mail rlundborg@uwb.edu, preferably at least 10 days in advance of the test date. The staff will be more than happy to assist you. Please be aware that you should be prepared to provide documentation of your disability in order to receive academic or testing accommodations.

 Payment

There is a non-refundable $35 fee to register for the test. Please send a check or money order, payable to UW Bothell, to the following address:

Please include your name and the testing session that you have registered for on your check. If you want to pay in cash, pay the UW Bothell cashier in UW1 before the test date and bring the receipt to the Business Office, UW1 Room 381, that day (Cashier is NOT open on Saturdays). Please write your name and your test date on the back of the receipt. Debit and credit cards are not accepted.

We will e-mail you a confirmation and additional information when we receive your $35 payment. We cannot guarantee your registration if you have not paid in advance.
