Lois Worthington at Commencement 2007 with graduate Autumn Allen. This past summer Campaign UW: Creating Futures came to a successful close. UW Bothell surpassed its campaign goal of $3.5 million by raising $3,745,857 and dramatically increasing its number of donors and volunteers. A resounding Thank You to all of you who helped support UW Bothell during the campaign. Your commitment to higher education and support of students, faculty, and the community are deeply appreciated.
Remembering Lois WorthingtonLongtime UW Bothell supporter and friend Lois Worthington passed away on September 13. In tribute, the campus remembers her many contributions, including the establishment of the Worthington Endowed Scholarship, the Richard and Lois Worthington Foundation Endowment for Technology, and the Worthington Distinguished Scholars Award - endowments which have benefited so many faculty and students. Lois and her family's support of UW Bothell have been unmatched and the institution is ever grateful for their generosity.
Richard "Dick" Truly, Sen. Rosemary McAuliffe.
UW Bothell, with the assistance of Senator Rosemary McAuliffe, formally honored Richard "Dick" Truly and his family during Convocation on September 23. Convocation, an annual ceremony to welcome new students, was the fitting event for the honor as Dick and his family's many contributions (including the sale of the Boone Truly Farm, upon which the UW Bothell-Cascadia Community College now resides), above all, benefit students.
