Transfer Students

Scholarships and Finances

The Husky Promise

The Husky Promise is more than just a promise, it's a guarantee for Washington state students from low-income and lower-middle income families that if you are admitted to the University of Washington, finances won't keep you from reaching your goals and realizing your potential.

Scholarships

Transfer students need to apply to UW Bothell before submitting their scholarship application, but do not need to wait until they are admitted.

To apply for scholarships, transfer students must fill out a separate application for scholarships. However, there is only one general scholarship application that is needed in order to be considered for all scholarships available in an awarding cycle.

Financial Aid Estimator

The amount and type of financial aid offered each student may be based upon many different factors such as:

  • Family Income
  • Family Size
  • Number of Family Members in College
  • Individual Income
  • Available Funds
  • Class Standing
  • etc...

The most important thing you can do to ensure you receive the most financial aid possible is to apply for aid on time. This will help the financial aid administrator know how to best award and support your need and ensure consideration of all funds.

The Financial Aid office at UW Seattle offers a Financial Aid Estimator Service that can give you an estimate of the type and amount of aid you might receive. This is an estimate only and NOT a promise of an award to you.
