What type of involvement have you had on campus?

!My first quarter on campus I started the UW Bothell Bowling Club. Since then, I have been elected the student government Vice President, sat as the IAS Advisory Council President, been involved in both the Tau Sigma and Sigma Alpha Lambda honor societies, and participated with the UW Bothell Relay for Life team.

What is unique about UW Bothell?

It sounds corny, but UW Bothell has become my home away from home. There is a feeling of community on this campus, a feeling comparable to my previous high school, sport teams, or even my large family. Often times I start a new quarter and already know a handful of people in my class. It is hard to describe the "unique-ness" of UW Bothell when I have nothing to compare it to, but I know that if I had to do it again, I would definitely be going to school here.

The effect of my academics here at UW Bothell has been profound. While I was searching for colleges, Really got the sensation that I was just a speck of sand in a huge desert. I’ve learned that I am, in fact, just a speck of sand. However, the Global Studies Concentration has taught me all about this desert in which we live, and that each speck of sand originates from different material, has a different story, and serves a different purpose. It is okay to feel small, but it is important to know big things are possible.

I am in the Global Studies program through IAS

After UWB…work, graduate school, teaching English overseas, It is still yet to be determined!
