Admitted Freshmen Reception

This is a special event to honor UW Bothell admitted freshman and their families. Honorees will have the opportunity to meet world-class faculty, interact with current student leaders, and meet with staff from our academic programs and student support services. We will also be offering tours of the campus and one of our housing facilities.

Freshman Information Sessions

UW Bothell welcomes prospective students and families to attend a Freshman Information Session. In this one hour presentation, you will learn about the application process, the first-year experience, degree programs, specialized support services, student life and more! Questions and answers and an optional Campus Tour will follow the presentation. Please check in for the Information Sessions at the Welcome Desk inside the front doors of UW-1.

  • Every Friday at 4:00 pm (September 1 - May 31)
  • Every third Friday at 3:00 pm (June 1 - August 31)

Campus Tours

Enjoy a guided tour of our beautiful campus and student housing! All tours are led by current students and last approximately one hour. Campus tours are open to the public and can accommodate large groups.

Senior Application Day

Senior Application Day is dedicated to underrepresented students in their senior year of high school. Students apply to the University of Washington Bothell with assistance from admissions advisors as they walk through the freshman application process from start to submit. The day includes ice breakers, campus tours, a student panel, and completing a college application!

To attend the event, students must have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA and complete an activities log and personal statement.  To help prepare students with their application materials, UW Bothell advisors provide writing workshops at the individual high schools prior to the event if requested by a high school counselor.

PIPE (Pacific Islanders Pursuing Education)

PIPE is a day dedicated in providing high school students of Pacific Islander background with foundational resources necessary in pursuing higher education.  At PIPE, students will have the exciting opportunity to tour the UW Bothell campus, engage with current UW Bothell students and participate in cultural and educational workshops aimed towards preparing students for the college planning process.

BOLD (Black Opportunity and Leadership Day)

BOLD is committed to empowering and preparing African and African-American students for higher education and providing the opportunity to experience UW Bothell.  UW Bothell Diversity Outreach and AASU (African American Student Union) are partnering to provide an interactive and educational event on the importance of pursuing higher education for the individual and their communities.

Beyond HB 1079 Conference

The Beyond HB 1079 Conference is a student-run project through the University of Washington Bothell and the Ethnic Cultural Center at the University of Washington, Seattle.  The agenda includes workshops, panels, group discussions, and motivational speakers.  Our goals are to bridge the gap of communication between high school students and high school educators, to provide HB 1079 policy awareness, and to share resources.

CAD (College Awareness Day

CAD is designed for first-generation and historically underrepresented high school students.  The event is intended to better prepare students for a post-high school education by taking them through the admissions process while experiencing what it’s like to be a UW Bothell student.  Interactive ice breakers, campus tours and a student panel are included in CAD.

RAIN (Reaching American Indian Nations)

RAIN is an event dedicated to students of American Indian, Alaskan Native and Native American backgrounds.  Students will learn about higher education opportunities, campus programs and participate in cultural and educational workshops.  The college admissions process, going on a tour of UW Bothell, meeting future classmates, and networking with community partners are designed to give students a better understanding of college life and the importance of education to the individual and their communities.

DALE (Día de Avanzando Latinos en Educación)

DALE is a high school conference dedicated to the advancement of first-generation Latinos and underrepresented high school students in higher education.  DALE will provide students with a fun and informative day in the life as a UW Bothell student.  Students will get a better understanding of what to expect at a four-year institution and be better prepared for the college admissions process as they visit the University and participate in ice breakers, campus tours, workshops, and interact with current UW Bothell students.
