Office of Research Support

In just over 17 years, UW Bothell faculty have established a strong record of research and scholarly work. Our faculty study a diverse range of issues critical to improving the quality of our daily lives, communities, and environment. Faculty across the five major UW Bothell academic programs hold advanced degrees from some of the most prestigious research universities in the U.S. Their scholarly activity generates new knowledge and directly supports the mission of UW Bothell by:

• extending students' research skills and discipline knowledge by involving them in field experiences and substantive research projects
• creating grant activities such as symposia and lectures that contribute to the intellectual and social vitality of the campus
• contributing to scholarly collegial discussions on a wide range of important issues and topics

The University of Washington Bothell constantly pursues new initiatives designed to increase grant and contract activity and generate new opportunities for collaboration and interdisciplinary initiatives. A centerpiece of this effort is the UW Bothell Office of Research Support (ORS).

Guided by Director Carolyn Brennan, the office is developing a research infrastructure that will fully support faculty in expanding the scope of their scholarship.
