Three Deans Named to Lead Schools at
UW Bothell

For the first time in the school's history, three deans have been named to lead the three schools at UW Bothell. In approving the proposal, the University of Washington Board of Regents noted that the schools at UW Bothell "have now reached a maturity, size, support structure and status, with full potential for further growth to warrant their change of status to collegiate-level schools headed by deans."

The new deans and their schools are:
Bruce Burgett, Ph.D., School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences
Elaine Scott, Ph.D., School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
Sandeep Krishnamurthy, Ph.D., School of Business

Undergraduate Researcher Wins Mary Gates Scholarship

UW Bothell senior Paulette Costanza was recently awarded the prestigious Mary Gates Scholarship for her research with Professor Santiago Lopez. The team is examining the effects of climate change on the socioecological systems in the tropical Andes.
